I stood down as President of Visual Arts Scotland (VAS) at the end of 2016. I am delighted that my successor Andrew McKenzie has continued to develop VAS with great energy and professional judgement. For the 2018 exhibition, VAS and the Society of Scottish Artists collaborated their annual exhibitions simply titled ‘OPEN’. This was a knock out show which demonstrated the strength and connections between makers, artists and designer in Scotland. I had one work in the show called ‘New Hadrian’s Wall’.
